SellingPoint Overview: Information Technology Personnel

Those in the information technology department will benefit from these features:

Easy deployment across the organization

  • Single software installer for every role within the company.
  • Software reconfigures features to fit the role of the user signing in.

Administer accounts and permissions

  • User accounts can be created that are provisioned across the entire organization.
  • Each user can be assigned to a role and/or assigned specific permissions within the SellingPoint System.

Automatic client software updates

  • Whenever updates are made available, clients will have an opportunity to update within the parameters set in their licensing of SellingPoint.
  • No need to find an update, download, and run manually. SellingPoint will find the best update, automatically download it, close your existing SellingPoint session, and start the update process.

Easy on-site server deployment and provisioning

  • SellingPoint Exchange Account Manager is supplied for standalone server installs and makes setting up and configuring new SellingPoint Exchange accounts fast and easy.
  • This utility checks to make sure the server meets the prerequisites of SellingPoint.
  • Using a step by step wizard, the administrator will be guided through the process of creating a new account, setting up a new online store, and getting that connected to the engineers and others in the organization that need access to the new account.
  • Support is now available for installations that separate the web server and database server. Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 are also now support in addition to Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2005.
